LEARNING BY READING BOOKS/FOLLOWING WORKSHEETS TO TEACH YOURSELF

Recommended books for purchasing (should be available at www.amazon.com or any other good book website) are:

1) the set of books from orchard Products on different flowers (see Orchard list in Cake Supplies page of this website)

2) Any books written by my friend the late ROSEMARY MERRILLS (UK), these books are called "Sugarcraft Flowers through the four seasons" and there are four books in the series, one for each season.  Rosemary was by far one of the most talented sugarcrafters in the world before her untimely death and her books are very much sought after.  If you are lucky enough to get your hands on them you will be indeed fortunate.

3) Any books featuring Alan Dunn, Tombi Peck, and Tony Warren, including "Sugar Roses for cakes", "Sugar orchids for cakes" and "Floral Wedding Cakes".  Brilliant, very easy to follow instructions for amazing flowers and cakes

4) Celcakes collection of books by Margaret Ford and Nicholas Lodge, including "sugar facts" file series, "Designs on wiring", "Cold Porcelain Projects", "blooming quick", "cake it easy", "On the wild side",  "Potpourri of flowers", "International Sugarcraft series book 1, 2 and 3"

5) For novelty cakes, any of Debbie Browns books are useful including the "cartoon cakes", "character cakes", "magical cakes" and "enchanted cakes" series.
