Deliveries  Standard delivery charge, Auckland metropolitan area is $35-50.  Auckland rural/semi rural deliveries (e.g. Waiuku, Pukekohe, Karaka, Ardmore, Beachlands, Orewa, Silverdale, Whangaparaoa, Piha, and some hard to reach areas) $50-65. HAMILTON DELIVERIES (Saturday only) $100-150.    All delivery dates and times are advised close to the wedding date, we cannot deliver a cake at an exact time.  PLEASE NOTE: we do not usually do birthday cake deliveries midweek ESPECIALLY on a Friday due to the fact that this is our busiest day, Wedding cake deliveries on a Friday can be arranged with notice. I work alone and do not always have time to do deliveries during the week unless arranged well in advance.YES you certainly can pick up your own cake and deliver it to the reception if you wish!  However, We do not take responsibility for any cake that is transported either locally, nationally or internationally by our customers, customers friends and families and professional couriers apart from our own deliveries. Cakes must be kept cool, and flat, standard size of box is 18" x 18".

NATIONWIDE : We DO NOT usually arrange delivery out of Auckland except in some situations ALWAYS AT CUSTOMERS OWN RISK, WE WILL NOT REFUND IF THE COURIER BREAKS THE CAKE approximate price per container packed with one cake (PLASTIC BOX WITH LID) approx $20 for the box and packing, overnight courier approx $120 OR 3 day courier delivery SOUTH ISLAND up to $75 NORTH ISLAND up to $55 depending on weight.  Please note this includes a charge of us having to drive the cake to the courier outlet.  shown are example of cakes that we have couriered at customers own risk.

TRAVELLING ON A PLANE WITH YOUR CAKE: NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL   At your own risk.  We box the cake/cakes, and deliver to an Auckland address, but it is the customers responsibility to deal with airline rules and customs regulations, packing and protection is the customers responsibility, we do not pack for national or international travel sorry .  Many brides and grooms have taken their cakes on planes with no problems at all but with all the new security rules, we will not guarantee that you will have no problems getting them through customs.  For security reasons we do not deliver cakes to the airport and leave them there except with the customer.  Usual size of a box with a wedding cake in is 18" square carboard box (#7 box), we are not responsible for packing for travel. WEIGHTS OF CAKES: As each cake is different depending on size and design we cannot provide an approximate weight for cakes for travel.  Many cakes have handmade or ceramic figurines or hand carved chocolate seashells and accents on and this can add weight to cakes so we could not even try to guess the approximate weights of cakes before they are completed, although a 3 tier cake usually weighs around 10-15 kilos fully decorated.  Cakes should ALWAYS travel in  fragile cargo, customers should use bubble wrap packaging around cakes to prevent tilting during travel, the cake is always sitting on a piece of non slip mat in each box.  WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF THE CAKE IS DAMAGED DURING TRAVEL OR STORAGE, we cannot be held responsible once the cake leaves our studio because we are not able to monitor the travel or storage.  We will not refund if the cake is damaged or left in a humid area where it will be less than fresh.  Cakes should not be refrigerated, the best place to store a completed cake is in a cooler or on a cool bench/table away from heat or direct sunlight.  Cakes can usually last a week or sometimes more if stored correctly but humidity will mean the cake is less fresh if kept in storage.
